Sterling Silver Inlay Turquoise Variscite Copper Pendant

This sterling silver pendant features an inlay cabochon formed with turquoise and copper. I bezel set this large cabochon and framed it with silver rope. It has a closed back which helps protect the cabochon, and adds substantial silver weight. It measures approximately 1 3/4” in length not including the bail. This pendant comes with a 16” sterling silver chain, however the bail is large enough to accommodate thicker chains if you want to swap this one out.

Inlay cabochons like this one are hand formed with natural materials. Although they are referred to as “inlay”, they are actually compression and heat formed. I don’t often use “formed” stones in my pieces, but these ones have such beautiful color combinations, I couldn’t resist.
