Beautiful Kingman Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace
This sterling silver necklace features five beautiful Kingman Turquoise cabochons. It is often assumed that Kingman turquoise comes from one mine, however Kingman is a town in Arizona and there are multiple turquoise mines, all producing different color and matrix variations. Each of these five pieces of turquoise have been bezel set and framed with hand-formed rope. I joined the five stations with plain and rope jump rings and continued the rope pattern throughout the whole chain before giving it an all-over antique style patina. Each station has a closed back that helps protect the beautiful turquoise, and adds substantial silver weight. This piece measures approximately 21” in length not including the center station, and has a large spring ring closure that can be closed on any of the links in the chain if you want to shorten it. It is signed and stamped 925.
