Sleeping Beauty Old Stock Turquoise Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet
This sterling silver cuff bracelet features super rare, Sleeping Beauty turquoise. The cab is bezel set, and joined to the cuff that is formed with two solid bands of patterned sterling silver. This cab has a tiny amount of matrix on one side that I could have trimmed to make a smaller stone…. but I love large stones that have unique signatures. The Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine closed some years ago, so the only genuine loose stones available now are old-new stock from collectors and estates. Luckily, "I have a guy” who deals in estates, and always surprises me with rare, closed-mine turquoise. This cuff features my *Patent Pending, original “utility” design, “roll bar”. It allows the cuff to slide easily onto the side of your wrist. There is nothing else like this, and I’m confident you will love the difference it makes. This cuff measures bracelet size 7 1/4", however I can make it a little smaller, or a little larger if required.
*Patent Pending…
When I started creating my jewelry, I wanted to approach an age-old design issue I saw with cuff bracelets. Going back as far in history as I could research, cuff bracelets have always had flattened ends. Inevitably those flattened ends produce a sharpish/rough edge which always scratches the skin when you slide the cuff on and off. They also become uncomfortable when worn for long periods, as those sharp ends tend to dig into the soft underside of your wrist. My original, patent pending “utility” innovation has rounded ends that, although stationary, allow the cuff to slide easily onto the side of the wrist without scratching. They also soften the pressure on the underside, making them more comfortable to wear. I call the innovation a “roll-bar”, and have a “patent pending” on it while the patent process plays out.
